Six new research projects will strengthen science links between France and Aotearoa New Zealand in 2025
17 March 2025
Following the second Joint Linkage Call (JLC) between Science New Zealand and INRAE in October 2024, six new collaborative research projects will be conducted in 2025 between 4 CRIs and 6 INRAE research teams. Under the JLC Agreement, 19 scientists will be exchanged in 2025 between the two countries - among them 5 early career researchers. While the exchanges are relatively short – up to one month in each country – the projects will last at least a year and are expected to lead to longer lasting collaborations. Topics concern animal behaviour, biological invasions, management of climatic risks in viticulture, climate-smart landscapes, resilient pollination services, and numerical AI models for biomass processing.
